Background and objectives
Assist the project coordinator to automate the IEP Project. Automation involves buying the software and implementation in school. 1) Raise funds for the project; 2) Partnership Management: Create partnerships to sustain the project in the long run; 3) Training teachers to use the IEP software, if needed. 4) Strategise expansion of the project in other schools; 5) M&E of the project We plan on automating Individualized Education Plan (IEP) project. IEP approach involves collection & analysis of data for individual child i.e. child’s learning needs, the services the school will provide for the student to learn effectively and how progress will be measured. Manually collecting, sorting & analyzing the data is tedious and time-consuming. At present, it is run manually on a pilot scale. We want to scale up and automate the IEP program using a software.
Project development and management
Development programme management
We provide education & therapy to children with mental disabilities in NalaSopara. We intend on implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for these children. It is a holistic approach developed for education of children with special needs. It is a document that spells out a child’s learning needs, the services the school will provide for the student to learn effectively and how progress will be measured. IEP involves setting of short-term goals for individual student. They are the intermediate steps between the student’s present level of performance and the measurable annual goal. They are intermediate knowledge and skills that must be learned in order for the student to reach their annual goal. Therefore an individual approach like this will result in overall growth of children.
